Huawei announced its next step from the HUAWEI P series, upgrading and rebranding the smartphone series to the HUAWEI Pura series. The revamped lineup embodies a fresh approach, blending cutting-edge photography, captivating design, and unique style. Offering users a revolutionary imaging system, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series also brings users Ultra Speed Snapshot. As one of the main highlights of the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series’ camera that has already gone viral in China since its release, the feature allows users to explore the world of high-speed photography – up close or from a distance. 

Ultra Lighting Photography System: Featuring A Large Sensor and Wide Aperture for Superior Photography

The HUAWEI Pura 70 Series features a new generation of Ultra Lighting Camera and the Ultra Lighting Pop-Out Camera on the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra. With a 1-inch large sensor and F1.6 aperture, the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra camera offers the largest light intake on a mobile smartphone camera. The camera also includes the HUAWEI XD Motion Engine, enabling the Ultra Speed Snapshot feature to capture fleeting moments effortlessly.  It excels in scenarios like talented dogs catching frisbees at the park, crowds on rollercoasters, speedboats slicing through water, and race cars at the Grand Prix. The XD Motion Engine feature simplifies this process by using a real-time sensor dual exposure: short exposure captures the moment's details, while long exposure retains rich background information. Through AI Motion Vector Computing, these exposures are matched by their features via Regional Motion Restore, producing a crisp, high-definition photograph. This allows for effortless snapshot photography, capturing scenes such as pets jumping or motorboats riding waves, accurately portraying movement with fully restored details.

Greater Focus and Stability: Anti-Shake OIS for Improved Image Stabilisation

Mesmerised by a street performer doing impressive card tricks while exploring a new country, or spotting a fascinating cultural monument during a tour bus ride? Capturing fast-moving scenes clearly is often a challenge with ordinary smartphone cameras, but with the HUAWEI Pura 70 Series, it becomes effortless. The Ultra Lighting Main Camera, featuring a 1/1.3-inch large sensor and the industry's largest physical aperture of F1.4, allows a significant light intake for crisp and sharp images. The high-precision slide guide motor enhances focusing accuracy by 100%.

Additionally, the HUAWEI Pura 70 and Pura 70 Pro improve image stabilisation with an upgraded anti-shake angle increased by 91%, while the HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra supports sensor shift OIS, improving stabilisation by 67%. The result is a breath-taking shot that captures the realism and emotion of the moment.

DXOMARK commended the camera’s Autofocus for its accuracy and speed, awarding it a rating of 125. This is achieved through increased light intake and the HUAWEI XD Motion Engine, which uses real-time sensor dual exposure and AI Motion Vector Computing to produce clear photos with minimal motion blur.

The Ultra Lighting Pop-Out Camera and Ultra Lighting Macro Telephoto Camera also received high praise. DXOMARK noted the Pop-Out Camera’s wide dynamic range, outstanding contrasts, and pleasant colours on HDR displays. The Macro Telephoto Camera scored 164, recognised for its sharp macro images and low noise levels even in low light. The HUAWEI Pura 70 Ultra also supports a 200x zoom range and features an 'Enhance images' mode, which fuses image information from different focal lengths to produce high-definition photos. DXOMARK, a trusted authority on imaging, provides these scores based on scientific measurements and perceptual analyses.
